Due to the governor-mandated closure of all K-12 schools in Virginia, our school is closed until further notice.  All Virginia Beach City Public Schools and administrative buildings are also closed.  Updated VBCPS information is available on the District website.  Thank you for your support.

What you can expect

No internet access?

If you do not have internet access at home, please either complete this form or call (757) 263-1111 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or please email Mr. John Bennett,  assistant principal. and he will reach out to teachers to provide alternative learning tasks. 

Extended Wi-Fi Access

In order to better serve our student community, VBCPS has deployed equipment to extend Wi-Fi capability for school- issued devices into several school parking lots throughout the city. Those school lots are: Bayside High, Cooke Elementary, College Park Elementary, Corporate Landing Middle, Creeds Elementary, Diamond Springs Elementary, Green Run Elementary, Green Run High, Kellam High, Kempsville High, Old Donation School, Seatack Elementary and Virginia Beach Middle. 

While making use of Wi-Fi in school parking lots, students and families should be aware of the following guidelines:

  • Under no circumstances should students congregate in school parking lots. Students and families should continue to follow appropriate social distancing guidelines.
  • Individuals should not remain in school parking lots after dark.
  • If you are connecting to the Wi-Fi network while parked, please be sure to park in appropriate designated parking areas. Do not park in fire lanes.
  • Please be aware that all school facilities are monitored via security cameras. Security footage will be used to prosecute any unlawful activities. 

If students are unable to connect to the Wi-Fi network using school-issued devices, please contact the Department of Technology Customer Support Center at (757) 263-1111.


Students who were present in school on Friday, March 13, 2020 were issued Chromebooks to take home.  All Chromebooks must be brought to school when we re-open.

Feeding Students

Meals are offered to all students without charge at the school sites listed below. To maintain the safety guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), meals will be provided using a drive by/pickup model. They will be bagged and include both a breakfast and lunch. Should pickup dates or sites be changed, you will be notified via AlertNow, on our website and through our official social media channels.

Meals will be provided on weekdays beginning Tuesday, March 17, from 9 a.m. – noon, at the following schools. The schools are also distribution and device swap sites for Chromebooks and laptops during school closings.
